Cindi Erickson

Hello! My name is Cindi Erickson. I'm a veteran homeschooling mom and have a teenage son who has dyslexia and ADD. I, too, have dyslexia and ADD, as well as myopia and amblyopia.

Despite my many years of struggling with my learning challenges, I am now a successful business owner (The Homeschool Place), conference speaker, author, and publisher of a periodic Homeschooling E-Zine called "The Chalkboard News"™.

In addition I've been an invited featured guest on the CTN-TV show "Homekeepers with Arthelene Rippy", as well as a recent inductee into the Biltmore Who's Who Registry of Executives & Professionals.

The Homeschool Place (www.TheHomeschoolPlace.com), now celebrating 5 years in business, is a Homeschool Curriculum and Educational Supply & Software company, carrying over 100,000 products from over 600 well known Homeschooling & K-12 publishers.

The Homeschool Place also offers a unique Curriculum Selection Service, called Homeschooling 'Smart Start'™, to help assist homeschooling families find curricula that best fits their student's specific learning needs, as well as the family's life-style. For more information, contact Cindi at info@thehomeschoolplace.com

Though I work mainly with the homeschooling community, I am eager to work with anyone who's child(ren) are struggling in their education!

My Life With ADD (Part II) My Struggles
In the late 1950's, at the age of five, I started my educational 'career' in Cleveland, Ohio. I attended Harvard Elementary, which was a relatively large school (see photo), but it was run very similar to a one-room school house. You see, for each of the grades, the teacher taught two grade levels in her classroom at the same time. . . .

 TESTIMONIALS
Here's what our members are saying ...
"The world of disabilities, whether physical, mental, emotional, or educational, is an overwhelming one. Robin has built a community where you can get information, guidance and support, all in one place.

I am grateful that she is tackling such an area, that so many are facing, with few answers and many theories. It is refreshing to find a place where you can find real life answers for real life problems."

"Thank God for this website. Here, we can learn about techniques, therapies, tips, products, even recipes that might help.

Above all, here we can meet people whose kids aren't "average." (I like to think of those kids as "boring".)

See you in the forums!"
